What this service includes

Tiling work we take on

Tiling shows every shortcut, so we spend the time on what sits behind it. Walls are checked and made flat, floors are levelled and boards are stiffened where needed before the first tile goes down.

We tile as part of our bathroom and kitchen work, and as a standalone service for customers who already have their tiles and just need a tiler.

Substrate preparation
Levelling compounds, backer boards, priming and stiffening floors that flex.
Bathroom tiling
Full height walls, shower enclosures, wet rooms and neat trims at every edge.
Kitchen tiling
Splashbacks, feature walls and floors laid to suit the units and doorways.
Floor tiling
Porcelain, ceramic and natural stone in hallways, kitchens and utility rooms.
Large format tiles
Levelling systems used so big tiles sit flat with no lipping between them.
Grouting and sealing
Correct grout for the setting, silicone to movement joints and sealing of porous stone.

FAQs

Tiling questions

If your question is not covered here, call or send a message and we will answer it directly.

Can you tile over existing tiles?
Sometimes, if the existing tiles are sound, flat and well bonded. More often the better result comes from removing them and preparing the surface, and we will tell you which applies.
Do you supply tiles?
Most customers choose and buy their own tiles. We are happy to advise on quantities and suitability, and we supply adhesive, grout and trims.
How long before I can use the room?
Floors generally need around twenty four hours before normal use, sometimes longer for large format tiles and stone. We will confirm timings on the day.
Can you tile a wooden floor?
Yes, with the right preparation. Boards usually need overboarding or a decoupling layer so movement in the timber does not crack the tiles.
